A graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Dave Mauer has been
interested in computers since his first Pascal class in college, where all the
programming was done on a DEC VAX 11/750. He has experimented with other languages
on several different platforms since then. As a bibliographer for YBP Library Services
he examines over 5,000 science & technology titles every year, hundreds of them computer guidebooks.
